Prerequisites
- Any Grade 10 academic course
- 11u or 11u/c Social Science course recommended (any)
- Recommendation of principal or teacher
Location
- Dormitory accommodation, meals, and classes at Claremont Conservation Field Centre, an outdoor education facility in Pickering, Ontario
- Excavation at a site in the vicinity of the Claremont Field Centre
Acceptance
- Early registration is encouraged as course space is limited.
- If there is insufficient enrolment, the program will not be offered and your deposit will be returned.
- All participants are required to complete and sign health and consent forms.
- Forms will be mailed upon acceptance of your application, along with further details.
Pre-Course Meeting for Orientation, Textbook Distribution and First Assignment
- Local students are strongly encouraged to attend a pre-course meeting at Claremont on Sunday, June 3.
- You will tour the building, meet the staff, and have an overview of the course
- Specialized equipment you will need will be described
- You'll have a chance to ask questions, and meet the other students
- The course textbook will be distributed
- The first assignment will be handed out
- Students from greater distances in Ontario and out-of-province will need to make arrangements to view the information and receive the textbook and assignment
